Lately I’ve been making videos. Lots and lots of videos. I figured maybe they would drive traffic? Who knows at this point but it’s worth a try! I would like feedback as I have no idea what I’m doing. Well, I do have a vague idea… That’s a start! Youtube is not something I’ve taken seriously until very recently when a few folks told me I should be taking it seriously. Apparently, people make a lot of money on Youtube. Go figure.
My video promotional plan seems to be manifesting in 3 ways. The first is cross promotion and integrating other store owners. The second is videos that encompass all my stores and focus on the main brand. Lastly are the 3 types of individual store videos being personal, professional and silly!
My first example here was made with others in mind! I’m in something of a product sharing group with a few other online store owners. Hopefully, this will encourage folks to visit my channel! Having others involved really does expand the pool of influence. I find that cross promotion is important so these are the stores of others I put together in a nifty little montage.
Here’s my mosh pit! I put together a large assortment of product collages with the help of my Polyvore account. This showcases the variety of products as well as the diversity of graphics in my store. I like using music because when you add language into the mix it only connects to a personal level people of that language.
This is a video I bought from Fiverr.com and I asked the guy to wing it for my Vacation Photography store. I think he did a pretty awesome job! Talk about personalizing content for your audience!
I wanted to add an element of cute and silly so I discovered these two on Fiverr as well. This promo is for the Vacation Photography store. I think they did a pretty good job. What I’m going for is for each store a cute one like this, a personal reference and a professional overview.
This one is a simple opening page montage with the storefront graphics. Something a bit louder was in order for my page and this fits in nicely. It’s short and makes the point of store and brand diversity while delivering a little excitement through the music track!
This one is professional and scripted. It differs from my other Fiverr purchases in that it’s more factual and less personal. Different situations may call for sharing a different type of video.
I think having 3 per store gives me a good pool to draw from. Now I just need to figure out where to put these videos! Placement is almost as important as making them in the first place. I have a lot more promos to make for all of my stores but I think you get the idea of what I’m going for.
